About Lou
Originally from the south of England my interest in ceramics started at the age of 14 when I had few art lessons at school rolling clay slabs and decorating them using the sgraffito technique. I had my first piece on display at the local library which I was most proud of.
Ceramics, pottery and art in general wasn’t on the cards as a career so I didn’t take my creativity any further.
Fast forward 30ish years and now living in Australia I decided to take up ceramics again and haven’t looked back. I have a home studio, wheel, kiln and enjoy experimenting with making my own glazes after a short course at TAFE.
My main body of work consists of sculptural vases right now but who knows what form the clay will take on as my creativity grows? Watch this space….
The aim is to create pieces that people will enjoy looking at for many years to come.

Packaging
Ceramics require a lot of packaging to prevent breakage.
Where possible I reuse boxes and other materials to reduce wastage and minimise environmental impact.
If you purchase my ceramics as a gift, please let me know and the piece will be packed with brand new materials. Gift-wrap and tags with a message can be added if required.
